In April 2015, Ben Farrar suffered a spinal cord injury during a trip to France with his high school. Ben was pulled down by an ocean wave while swimming, hitting the sea floor and breaking his C5 vertabrae. Support from friends, family and his hometown has given him hope and strength as he has spent the last year adjusting to living with a SCI.
As a result of a grant he received from the TRF, Ben will have increased independence as a business and computer science student at the University of New Hampshire this fall.
