October 20, 2020 launches the 25th anniversary, year-long commemoration of Travis Roy’s accident and the creation of the Travis Roy Foundation to support spinal cord injury survivors and their families.
Travis Roy was a promising Freshman hockey player at Boston University when he was paralyzed after Eleven Seconds in his first NCAA game on 10/20/1995. The outpouring of support from New England was incredible!
The Travis Roy Foundation was created in 1996 to help spinal cord injury survivors live more independent and hopeful lives through adaptive equipment grants and funding scientific research.
