Women’s Beanpot Charity Hockey Challenge

On February 11, 2020 the Travis Roy Foundation will host the 3rd Annual Women’s Beanpot Charity Hockey Challenge. This charity fundraiser will consist of two “pickup” hockey games at Boston University’s Agganis Arena, followed by event participants reconvening at Boston University’s Walter Brown Arena to enjoy watching the 42nd Women’s Beanpot Championship game.  All proceeds from this charity game will benefit the Travis Roy Foundation to help fund spinal cord injury (SCI) research and adaptive equipment grants for SCI survivors.

Women 21-and-over with A,B,C, or D-level hockey experience are encouraged to play in this fun charity event. Two games composed of Legends (roughly aged 35+) and Prime Time players (college graduate to appx. 34) will be organized. Players are asked to contribute or raise a minimum of $500 through personalized online fundraising pages benefiting the Travis Roy Foundation. Participants are encouraged to create unique fundraising events or initiatives, and share their fundraising page with family, friends, and coworkers to meet the $500 fundraising requirement. In the second year of the tournament in 2019, 46 women raised more than $36,000! Even with an unexpected snowstorm everyone had a blast!

The schedule for the day will be announced closer to the event on February 11, 2020.

A $25 registration fee (which counts toward the $500 fundraising requirement) will hold your spot on the ice.

Spaces are limited. Please register now.
