Step 1: Register
Thank you for registering your WIFFLE team.
2. Click “Register.” This will register you for the tournament and create your personal Fundraising Page.
3. If you are a returning player, simply login under “Returning User.”
4. If you are new to the tournament, click “JOIN AS A NEW PARTICIPANT”
5. If your team captain already registered your team, scroll down to the bottom of the “Join or Form a Team” page and click “I would like to join an existing team.”
Step 2: Personalize Your Fundraising Page
One of the first things you are encouraged to do is edit your personal Fundraising Page. Your personal fundraising page is the page your donors will see so give it your own touch by adding a picture, information about you and your reasons for participating in the event.
Step 3: Start Your Fundraising Campaign
Now that you have your Fundraising Page set up, you can start your email campaign to solicit friends and family for donations. As a registered user you have access to a suite of easy-to-use email tools. The email message you create will automatically include a direct link back to your personal Fundraising Page to make it as easy as possible for the recipient to make a donation or join your support team. Your email tools include:
Address Book Import – Import your Outlook, Yahoo! or other address book. Please be assured that your friend’s and family’s privacy are protected by restrictions on the use of the email addresses you upload and will not be used for other purposes. Once you have imported addresses into your address book, you can use the address book to select which email addresses you would like to use. If you don’t want to use the address book, you can send out quick emails to your friends using the simple address entry tool.
Email Campaign Center – Use your email campaign center to create an email messages or use an email template. You will want to keep in touch with your donors by sending thank you notes and messages to let them know how you or your team are doing.
Reports – Donation Reports show who donated, the amount and when the donation was made for current or past years

Step 4: Spread the Word!
Think big! You will want everyone in your school, work, and community to know about your participation in the Travis Roy Foundation WIFFLE Ball Tournament.
Use the link to your customized online Fundraising Page on every email, letter, flyer, text or social media post you create. Click the “+Share” icon at the top right corner of your personal Fundraising Page and select Facebook or Twitter to allow others to view a link back to your website profile.
Facebook is a powerful tool for getting the word out about the upcoming tournament and for encouraging people to sponsor you. If you are raising money by conducting an event, we urge you to create a Facebook event page using your own Facebook account. Update your status on Facebook with a link to your Fundraising Page. “LIKE” your Fundraising page.
Twitter is another powerful tool for getting the word out about the upcoming tournament. When composing your tweets, be sure to include #trfWIFFLE and @TRFoundation to link the post to the Tournament and Travis Roy Foundation twitter pages. When posting URLs (such as your fundraising page URL), use www.tinyurl.com to create a shorter URL so the tweet won’t exceed Twitter’s 280 character limit.
The photo and video-sharing app is another great way to spread the word about the upcoming tournament. When snapping pictures or recording videos, be sure to use the hashtag #trfWIFFLE and add Little Fenway to your photo map.

If your donors make a donation online via credit card, you will automatically be credited through the system and receive an email alerting you of the gift. Donations made online are typically 40% higher than those made by other means.
If your donor wishes to give by cash or check, you must enter EACH check INDIVIDUALLY or each cash donation individually.
Go to: Your Participant Center. If you have not bookmarked it, go to the Tournament Fundraising Page, log in, then click the green Participant Center button in the top right corner.
Cick: Enter New Gift (a box midway on the right-hand side)
Click: ‘Additional Gift Entry Fields’ to complete the address.
***NOTE: If entering a check from a business; fill in the business name in the LAST NAME field. Put the Company contact name in the FIRST NAME field. Click link ‘Additional Gift Entry Fields’ to complete the address. This is required so they receive a thank you/tax deduction letter***
To print your report go to the “Progress tab,” and scroll down. Under “Donation History,” select “Download personal donation list.”

July 27th to Tournament time: Bring to event
- Please include your Team Name, Participant Name, Total amount enclosed.
- Checks must be made out to: Travis Roy Foundation, Inc.
- Please send checks in timely manner (checks older than 6 months cannot be cashed).
- Once checks are received by TRF, they will be confirmed, they will then show up on your page and thermometer.
- You must write a check for any cash donations (made out to Travis Roy Foundation, Inc.). Please do not send cash through the mail.
Checks received after the tournament should be mailed to Lisa Kielt as noted above
Matching Gifts can be a great way to turn a $25 donation into $50!
Many employers offer matching gift programs in which they will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Your company may match your donation as well as donations made by your co-workers, if they also apply for matching gifts.
Step 1: Contact your Human Resource or Benefits Department to find out if your company has a company Matching Gift Program.
Step 2: Learn how your company’s Matching Gift Program works. Does your company require a minimum donation amount? Will they match one for one, or maybe two for one?

For more than 20 years, the Travis Roy Foundation has been granting money and life-changing medical equipment to spinal cord injury (SCI) survivors, as well as funding important research to find a cure for paralysis.
