Junior Beanpot Charity Hockey Tournament

Last year the Junior Beanpot Charity Hockey Challenge raised over $20,000 to support the Travis Roy Foundation and help spinal cord injury survivors live more independent and hopeful lives.  In two years, this tournament has also helped raise spinal cord injury awareness and encouraged young people to play with a purpose – to combine their passion for hockey with the purpose of helping others.

On February 24th, 2019, the kids will do it again for the third straight year.  For the 3rd annual Junior Beanpot Tournament, event organizer Jacob Gurdin and his friends will grow the event to 8 teams (from 4) and three different New England Sports Complex rinks.

The teams competing for the Junior Beanpot Championship will be:

  • The U14 Tier 1 Jr. Eagles
  • The Northstars
  • The Southshore Kings
  • The Minuteman Flames

Other participating teams will be the 2010 Jr. Eagles Tier 1, 2008 Jr. Eagles Elite, 2008 Assabet Patriots, Minuteman Flames, and the 2005 Assabet Patriots.

The suggested donation to play is $50 per player or $200 of fundraising.  Learn more and get involved.
