The Rochester
group was first organized in 1997 and held an
annual golf tournament for five years for the
Travis Roy Foundation and the local Rochester
community through Foundation grants. Following
a one year hiatus, the group returned in 2004
with the inaugural Rochester Art Gala
to Benefit the Travis Roy Foundation. To date,
thanks to the group's efforts, more than
$92,000 has been raised.
Half of the
proceeds from the Rochester, NY events have
gone to the spinal cord rehabilitation unit of
Strong Memorial Hospital with the remainder distributed as individual grants.
