Travis Roy FEATURED SPEAKER AT BOSTON JAYCEES FIRST ANNUAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
Previously Honored as 2003 Recipient of Jaycees' Ten Outstanding Young Leader (TOYL) Award |
|
Since 1952, 510 young leaders from the Greater Boston community have been honored by the Boston Jaycees for their professional, personal, and civic commitment to improving the quality of life within our community. Past honorees include President John F. Kennedy, Senator Edward Kennedy, Leonard Bernstein, Sumner Redstone, and more recently Boston City Council President Michael Flaherty, Jr. and State Senator Jarrett Barrios. On October 17, 2003, the Boston Jaycees Leadership Foundation honored leaders from the past and prepare young leaders for tomorrow by providing them with the tools and education they need to realize their potential at the first annual Leadership Conference.
This Conference brought high school leaders from Boston’s private, public, and parochial schools together for a day of interactive conferences and workshops.
This Leadership Conference showed students the many sides and faces of leadership and will help them discover their own leadership potential within their communities, schools, and families.
Among the many featured speakers at the conference was Travis Roy Foundation founder Travis Roy, who was honored earlier this year with the Jaycee's Ten Outstanding Young Leader (TOYL) award.
