50/50
RAFFLE TICKETS AT BOSTON BRUINS GAMES

Nonprofit Will Benefit from Sale of Tickets at December 6 & 8 Games
BOSTON, MA –
The Travis Roy Foundation will take part in the Boston Bruins
50/50 Raffle program during two games during the 2003-04 NHL season:
Saturday, December 6 vs. the Philadelphia Flyers and Monday,
December 8 vs. the Ottawa Senators. Volunteers from the Foundation
will sell the 50/50 tickets during the game with proceeds benefiting
the Boston-based nonprofit.

Raffle, Slapshot Booth and Silent Auction:
The Boston Bruins 50/50 Raffle, Radar
Slapshot Booth and Silent Auctions raised over $85,000 at home games
last season for the following New England charities: United Way of
Massachusetts Bay, Anthony Spinazzola Foundation, Massachusetts
Youth Hockey, The Children's Room, The Sports Museum, Help for
Abused Women and their Children, MetroLacrosse, Partners for Youth
with Disabilities, March of Dimes, SCORE Boston, Family Autism
Center, ALS Therapy Development Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis Center
at MGH, The Berry Fund, United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, Bay
State Games, and Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
THE TRAVIS ROY FOUNDATION:
The Travis Roy
Foundation was founded in 1997 to assist spinal cord injured
individuals purchase adaptive equipment and to fund spinal cord
research. More than one million dollars in grants has been
distributed, and any paraplegic or quadriplegic who has suffered a
spinal cord injury is eligible to apply for an individual grant. A
small Boston-based nonprofit with very little overhead, more than 99
cents of every dollar donated goes directly to the Foundation’s
charitable purposes. The Internal Revenue Service recognizes the
Foundation as a tax-exempt public charity, and contributions are
deductible for federal income tax purposes.
