Each team will play three
games, seven innings in length, unless halted due to
time limit. If a game is still tied after eight
innings, or at the time limit, the game will be
settled by a home run derby. For the home run derby
tiebreaker, each team will select three batters and
each batter will get three swings from a pitcher on
their team. Winner is team that hits more home runs,
otherwise game is a tie.

The top team in each
Division will advance
to a pair of semi-final games and the winners of these
two games will advance to the Championship game.

The tie breaker for first
place in each Division, will be
determined by:

Head-to-head results;

Run differential in each
team’s three games;

Total home runs for
three games;

Number of home runs
given up for three games; and,

In the unlikely event
there is still a tie, a coin toss

The standard yellow WIFFLE
ball bat with Travis Roy Foundation logo and white
WIFFLE ball with holes on the top will be used. You
can have up to nine fielders on defense including a
catcher. No stealing, bunting, lead-off before hit, or
advances on hit-by-pitch. Team has option to bat more
than nine players.

Pitchers are encouraged to
throw a high percentage of strikes and refrain from
attempting to strike batters out with fast balls.
Umpire will call strikes and enforce pitch speed
limit. Umpire will issue walks after six balls to
a batter. No intentional walks.

An out on the bases can be
made just like in baseball. Additionally, a defensive
player can get an out by hitting the runner with the
ball, as long as the runner is not struck in the head.
Everyone is encouraged to
have fun and display good sportsmanship.
Players need to refrain
from wearing metal spikes.
Any protests, initiated
with a $100 donation to the Travis Roy Foundation, will
be handled on the field by the umpire who may consult
with the Tournament Director if he/she desires. |
